“Homeowners should always change their filters regularly,” says Montgomery, whose Atlanta furnacecompany serve the surrounding area. “Filters keep dirt and debris from entering the unit. Over time, too much debris can cause a unit to work improperly. Homeowners can also clean their units themselves.”

A garden hose can be used to spray the unit down. There are also special air conditioning cleaners that can be used to remove any build up from the unit. Homeowners should be sure to carefully follow all directions on the cleaning solution and then be sure to rinse the unit thoroughly after cleaning.

To avoid needing Atlanta cooling repair, homeowners can also clean their outside drains of any debris that could be clogging it. Regularly inspect the outside unit to be sure debris, such as dirt, leaves and grass, hasn’t gotten in the outside unit.

By keeping a regular maintenance schedule with a licensed technician, regularly cleaning your unit and changing the filter, homeowners can keep their units in proper working order.
